Rock Climbing

After seven years, I finally got out on the rock again. It was so much fun. This very cool family in our ward invited us to go with them on Monday night. I told Danny that my main goal was to NOT pull a muscle...who cares if I made it to the top or not. And I did accomplish my goal. Luke talked about it for days after, although still referring to it as "last night." He loves going on new adventures and gets quite chatty while we're getting ready to go, he explains everything to the girls for us (Gracie and Hildie) in case they are confused as to what's going on. It's really quite entertaining. But anyway, back to our adventure...we had a great time. We forgot to take our camera up, but they took some for us and sent them our way. Yeah.

Getting ready.

Dan is leading the climb. Climb on Dan.

Okay, it's my turn now. When Dan and I looked at this one, we died laughing. Okay, well I laughed harder than Dan and I thought immediately that I would have to post this on the blog...who better to make fun of than yourself eh? But I just want to know how come no one has told me that my butt is that large these days? Okay, many of you that read this I don't actually see that often so you're off the hook...but my family????? Come on.

Then we zoomed in on the pic and I practically fell of the chair laughing. I didn't know you could have muffin tops on the BACK of your bum. My poor belay man (apparently belayer isn't a real word). Just to save you the time of having to zoom in to get a better look...I did it for you. Sorry the images aren't that big, but maybe some of you prefer it that way. Try not to laugh too hard. Parental guidance is suggested.

Just chatting before we finished up. Not the best angle of me either, but not quite as funny as the butt shot.

Thanks to our friends for inviting us! We loved it and hope to improve our skills and figures! :)

Easter

It's just so fun to see how excited the wee Jedi gets these days at any "event" which really doesn't have to be much of an event for him to love it! Easter was no exception.

We colored eggs the day before and were all dressed in black because we just weren't sure where the colors would end up. L decided he didn't actually like to do it by himself so he would just tell D and I what to do. (Dad wasn't allowed to include mom in the pictures.) :)

We had an egg hunt at G&G Summers house and L thought that was the greatest thing in the world, and was even more thrilled to find candy inside. (No his teeth aren't blue from the candy, that's just his six crowns.)

Then we celebrated all the March and April birthdays after the egg hunt. Kids are always fascinated by fire and candles eh?

Lah-tee-frickin-dah...35

Yup, this is my happy birthday to me post. The celebrations actually started a few weeks ago with the lady friends from my old work place. We met up at the Porcupine Grill at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon. It was dee-licious, as L would say. We had lots of fun catching up. (No comments on the hair please...I know, Maria is calling and she wants her hair back. I'm ready to buy a wig.)

Dan and L made me a cake and Danny made dinner. Tenderloin steak with baked potatoes that were fantastic. I mentioned how L loves the blowing out the candles part of the birthday event. Well he just couldn't wait to put the candles in the cake so I let him before it had totally cooled, and of course the cake melted the candles from the bottom up. It was great cake though. I did receive a lot of birthday wishes today from family and friends which was fantastic. So thanks to all of you for sharing it with me and remembering!
